Prior to joining Little & Cicchetti, Ben Luna served five years as Chief Deputy State’s Attorney in Caledonia County, and Acting State’s Attorney in Lamoille County. He prosecuted over three thousand criminal cases, and now applies his trial skill in civil litigation, probate and trust litigation, Title IX investigations, and abuse orders.
Ben also focuses on estate planning, probate administration, and dispute resolution. He teaches estate planning seminars, and probate litigation classes. Ben is an excellent presenter and is available to present an estate planning and probate seminar for your company.
Ben previously served as an Associate Attorney at Ward & Babb, P.C., where he focused on collections litigation, evictions, personal injury, and contract disputes. He is a founding member of the Vermont Trial Lawyers Association, and past member of the Vermont Commission on National and Community Service. Ben is also a member of the National District Attorneys Association.
Ben graduated from Vermont Law School, where he was a member of the National Moot Court Team. He earned honors for “Best Team” and “Best Brief” in national moot court competition and was awarded the American College of Trial Lawyers Medal of Excellence in Advocacy. He also received the American Jurisprudence of Excellent in Legal Writing. Ben earned his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Davis, where he rowed on university’s crew team.
In his spare time, Ben enjoys competitive paddling with Dragonheart Vermont, a breast cancer awareness nonprofit. This summer his team, “Fifty Force,” will compete in World Championships in France. Ben is admitted to practice law in the State of Vermont and State of Oregon, and the United States District Court District Court of Vermont.
